The client needed a relaxing chillout area that could double as a home office while also providing additional storage. With approximately 18m² to work with, the space needed to be both practical and inviting. The client envisioned a modern design with high-quality finishes, plenty of natural light, and an organized storage area that would be easily accessible yet seamlessly integrated into the room's overall aesthetic.

During the design phase, we worked closely with the client to achieve their ideal blend of functionality and style. We opted for large vertical cladding to give the garden room a modern and elegant look, with a custom-built door leading to the hidden storage area. To maintain a sleek, contemporary design, the structure featured concave angles on the sides, paired with external lighting to highlight the room’s architecture at night. For maximum light and indoor-outdoor flow, we installed three-panel aluminum bifold doors, while the outdoor area was finished with a grey composite decking that wrapped around the entire garden room.

The construction took five weeks, and every detail was carefully considered to meet the client’s specifications. The vertical cladding gave the garden room a striking appearance, while the hidden storage area was both functional and subtly integrated. The concave design at the sides gave the structure an architectural edge, creating a unique, standout feature in the client's garden.

Inside, the room was designed for comfort and productivity. We installed oak-effect vinyl flooring, providing a warm, natural feel that complemented the room's modern design. Acoustic wall panelling was added to enhance soundproofing, ensuring the space could be used for focused work or peaceful relaxation. A panelled smart heater was installed to maintain comfort year-round, offering efficient, adjustable heating to suit the client's needs. With external lighting and sleek finishes, the garden room is a true balance of style and functionality.

The client was extremely happy with the final result, especially the seamless integration of the hidden storage area and the open, light-filled feel provided by the bifold doors. The acoustic wall panelling made the space perfect for working in peace, while the oak-effect vinyl flooring added warmth and sophistication. The smart heating system and external lighting allowed the client to enjoy the space day and night, year-round.
