Faced with the challenge of finding suitable office space without a lengthy commute, our client sought our expertise to maximize the potential of the available space for a new home office. Together, we envisioned a design that not only served as a workspace but also provided a retreat from the stresses of work and family life. This evolved into a versatile space where guests could also stay, prompting the inclusion of a fully functioning bathroom suite.

Through collaborative brainstorming, we settled on a design that exceeded the client's expectations. The space was divided into three distinct areas: the main workspace/relaxing section, a fully fitted shower room, and additional storage accessible via a discreet secret door. To address logistical challenges, such as water and drainage, we installed a macerator pump to ensure efficient wastewater flow to the main drainage system.

The construction phase, spanning approximately five weeks, was characterized by careful assembly of the garden room into its three separate areas. Thermal wood cladding, complemented by UPVC doors and windows, ensured energy efficiency and warmth during winter months. Bamboo flooring added a touch of elegance to the main office space, while the showcase shower room became a focal point, featuring modern materials and bold colors that made a statement.

Inspired by the bold design of the shower room, we curated a palette of standout colours to infuse the entire space with tranquillity and relaxation. This cohesive design approach captured the essence of the room's intended purpose—an oasis of calm amidst the daily hustle and bustle.
